Hi my names Michael LaManna, I’m the owner of Apex Fitness. I got into fitness back in 2008. Frustrated with my lack of strength and size, I was determined to get in shape. Through lifting and tracking my nutrition on MyFitnessPal, I’ve added over 70’lbs of muscle while staying lean. Some of my best lifts are: 440 Squat / 345 Bench / 555 Deadlift all at 173lbs bodyweight.
I got into Personal Training because I wanted to show people that there’s a better way to get in shape than the conventional “30 day challenges” and other unsustainable contests that only yield short-term progress.
Fitness is all about doing things you enjoy so you can stay with it long term, the same thing goes for nutrition. Through superior programming to keep you injury-free and help you develop healthy nutrition habits. You’ll not only get into the best shape of your life, but you’ll be able to maintain it long-term!
Since becoming an ACE-certified personal trainer (2015), I’ve continued my education studying programming for strength, size & injury prevention. I’m a certified USA Powerlifting (USAPL) Coach, Pain-Free Performance Specialist (PPSC), PPSC Pain-Free Mobility Cert, PPSC Programming Cert, PPSC Business Cert, Dr. Stuart McGill’s Low Back Disorders completion Cert and hold several other certs in Bootcamp style training & HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). I’m also currently studying for a speciality certification in Sports Nutrition.
I love my job! I get to help people better their health every day and have fun doing it! There’s no better feeling than helping someone achieve a goal that they didn’t think was possible.
